Local favorite Johnny Benson's #23 truck team was thrown out from the test at Charlotte last night and was banned from Friday's test as well.
Why?
Well, the truck crashed and when they went to get the driver out, it wasn't JB.
It was an "unlicensed driver".
This was noticed as they wheeled "Crasher X" into the infield care center for the mandatory checkup.
This is a big no-no in Nascar.
All drivers on track must be approved and licensed to compete in Nascar.
Who was the Einstein that dreamed this up?
Maybe it went down like this:
Team - "JB we gotta test at Charlotte"
JB - "I'm busy building a late model for Berlin"
Team (to that homeless guy at the off ramp with the sign that says "Will Work for Food") "Hey scruffy, you busy Thursday night? We'll buy you 5 Value Meals at McDonald's"
