NASCAR considering tweaking qualifying: NASCAR is considering changing its qualifying procedures in response to complaints about the restrictive system. With at least 50 drivers vying for 43 spots in the field, seven or more cars fail to make the race each week. Because NASCAR assures a spot to the top 35 drivers in points, only eight positions are actually up for grabs. The policy has crippled several drivers this season, particularly #55-Michael Waltrip, who missed his eighth consecutive race Sunday. Waltrip spent the past week lobbying for a variety of changes that could help him get into the field. NASCAR is apparently listening. "We're looking at a lot of different scenarios," competition director Robin Pemberton said. "There's things that we're looking at and we're listening to the competitors. If we were to make a change we'd have to put our own twist on it, to make it fair for all competitors."(Alabama Live)(4-30-2007)
this "hack" that is loosely called a driver, was 0-462 to start his career, wants to change the rules.
for 23 years he has been a self promoting pitchman for pennzoil, country time lemonade, citgo and napa and Mike skinner has a better top 5 and top 10 finishing percentage than mikey.
Mikey's only 4 wins are at daytona (3) and talladega (1) in a DEI car when DEI ruled restrictor plates races, all drivers will tell you those tracks the driver just holds the wheel, its all car not driver.
Yes, Nascar introduced the champions provisionals when the King Richard Petty had trouble qualifying. But he had ONLY 196 more wins and 7 more championships that Mikey.
Mikey, needs to get his sh** together and work his cars and talent and get it in the show. His rookie driver reutiman can get it in.

NASCAR SUCKS!! If you are not fast enough to make the show, take yer sorry ass home and try again next week. It's really pretty simple. Wanna make the race, WORK FOR IT. Look at the NHRA and John Force. Hell John's a 14 time series champion. Recently he did not qualify for a show. What happened?,he went home. Imagine that. He was not fast enough, so he went home. Good for the NHRA. And NHRA is still up and running!!. YEP,...NASCAR SUCKS!!
